For floor lamps, measure your ceiling. Most rooms here sit between 9 and 11 feet, which comfortably takes a 150–180 cm lamp. Anything shorter than 130 cm tends to read as a side accessory rather than a light sculpture.
3. Realistic budgets
Premium decor in Pakistan broadly falls into three tiers. Under PKR 50,000 you are buying accent objects — small sculptures, candle holders, bowls. Between PKR 80,000 and 150,000 sits the statement tier: designer floor lamps, mid-size sculptures, sculptural side tables. Above PKR 200,000 you are into collectible and limited-run work.
Spend the statement budget on one object rather than spreading it across five. A single considered piece changes a room; five mid-priced ones just fill it.
4. Where to place a statement piece
Give it space and give it light. Entryway consoles, the corner beside a sofa, and the wall opposite a doorway are the three positions that do the most work in a typical Pakistani drawing room.
